چکیده
2D and 3D seismic data basin simulation were used to investigate the gas hydrate distribution natural migration pathways in Qiongdongnan Basin (QDNB). Hydrate-related amplitude anomalies extensive bottom simulating reflectors (BSRs) mapped within uppermost part. Based on their reflection characteristics, three main types of distributions QDNB identified through high-resolution data. modeling was carried out document efficiency different effects enrichment. The results show following: (1) Diapirs, fault structures, fractures constitute that transport thermogenic from deep shallow layers QDNB. (2) impact enrichment ways. Diapirs faults contribute significantly due higher efficiency. In comparison, fracture systems is lower, with minimal benefit (3) mainly distributed along diapirs generally scattered around system. These conclusions indicate are regionally closely related accumulation.

Focus on the Development of Natural Gas Hydrate in China
Natural gas hydrate, also known as combustible ice, and mainly composed of methane, is identified as a potential clean energy for the 21st century. Due to its large reserves, gas hydrate can ease problems caused by energy resource shortage and has gained attention around the world. In this paper, we focus on the exploration and development of gas hydrate as well as discussing its status and fut...
متن کاملEvaluation of Gas Production from Marine Hydrate Deposits at the GMGS2-Site 8, Pearl River Mouth Basin, South China Sea
Natural gas hydrate accumulations were confirmed in the Dongsha Area of the South China Sea by the Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey 2 (GMGS2) scientific drilling expedition in 2013. The drilling sites of GMGS2-01, -04, -05, -07, -08, -09, -11, -12, and -16 verified the existence of a hydrate-bearing layer. In this work gas production behavior was evaluated at GMGS2-8 by numerical simulation. ...
متن کاملBenthic fluxes of dissolved organic carbon from gas hydrate sediments in the northern South China Sea
Hydrocarbon vents have recently been reported to contribute considerable amounts of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) to the oceans. Many such hydrocarbon vents widely exist in the northern South China Sea (NSCS). To investigate if these hydrocarbon vent sites release DOC, we used a real-time video multiple-corer to collect bottom seawater and surface sediments at vent sites. We analyzed concentra...
متن کاملAnalysis of the Physical Properties of Hydrate Sediments Recovered from the Pearl River Mouth Basin in the South China Sea: Preliminary Investigation for Gas Hydrate Exploitation
Laboratory based research on the physical properties of gas hydrate hosting sediment matrix was carried out on the non-pressurized hydrate-bearing sediment samples from the Chinese Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey 2 (GMGS2) drilling expedition in the Pearl River Mouth (PRM) basin. Measurements of index properties, surface characteristics, and thermal and mechanical properties were performed o...
متن کاملPalaeoenvironment and Its Control on the Formation of Miocene Marine Source Rocks in the Qiongdongnan Basin, Northern South China Sea
The main factors of the developmental environment of marine source rocks in continental margin basins have their specificality. This realization, in return, has led to the recognition that the developmental environment and pattern of marine source rocks, especially for the source rocks in continental margin basins, are still controversial or poorly understood. Through the analysis of the trace ...
